Full Moon Rise

When:
Where: Belvédère Kondiaronk
Direction: East (77°)

About 30 minutes after sunset, the Full Moon will rise in the Eastern sky, visible from the top of Mount Royal.

The Moon will rise above the peaks of Mont-Saint-Hilaire, rising upwards and to the right.

At first, the Moon will appear an orange-pink colour as it sits low on the horizon. This happens every time the Moon is low on the horizon, caused by Rayleigh Scattering. The Moon will appear a yellow colour as it gets higher, then it's normal white colour when high enough over the horizon.
