On Monday, April 8th, 2024 at 3:26 PM, the Moon will block out the Sun over most of Montréal. For several minutes, day will turn into night and be one of the most memorable moments for your team's life.

But there will be many logistical issues to consider. This presentation will help you get everything ready.

This in-person presentation from Plateau Astro founder, Trevor Kjorlien, will help your company how to plan for this day. You'll learn:

Why is Montréal a logistical challenge for the eclipse?

The path of the solar eclipse runs through the middle of Montréal. In the image below, the red part will not get the full experience, but the blue part will.

This will be a logistical nightmare for many people. Traffic will be crazy. Don't let your team get caught up in it.

This presentation is offered by Plateau Astro founder, Trevor Kjorlien (yes, he feels weird referring to himself in the third person as he writes this).

Trevor has been teaching about space and astronomy in Montréal since 2013. Since starting Plateau Astro in 2018, he has offered workshops and presentations to thousands of people. 

In 2022 and 2023, he worked in Communications at the Canadian Space Agency. While there, he worked closely with Canadian astronauts David Saint-Jacques, Jeremy Hansen, and Joshua Kutryk. 

He has been featured in local and national press dozens of times. He has been a regular contributor to CBC Montréal and will have a holiday special with CBC on December 23rd, 2023.
